Who?

Max, Becca, Joel and Nik have been organising fun and chaos-filled road trips for their friends and strangers for years, each more adventurous than the last (they once drove a £75 car around the entire world through 46 countries!) and, most recently, they sourced an old US School bus for this particular adventure of a lifetime.
For the past 7 years they have been running an online travel community (Global Convoy) that encourages strangers from all over the world to collaborate, explore off the beaten path and have life changing adventures together.

Why?

After watching a 75 year old documentary about the first vehicle to try and attempt this journey, they were inspired to not only attempt the challenge themselves, but to document their experiences and compare and contrast them with what travel in these areas must have been like 75 years ago.
This overland challenge required all individuals involved to work together to face fears, build their resilience and overcome obstacles as a team.

How?

To help the project, they asked strangers from around the world to join them on this unique intercontinental bus journey to share the vehicle costs, the living costs and what certainly was the emotional cost of living on a bus with 14 strangers!

When?

They set off from Prudhoe Bay, Alaska on the 6th of August 2023.
On the 27th of March 2024 they reached the end of Ruta 3 in Argentina, just southwest of Ushuaia, Argentina’s southernmost city.
**The journey took 234 days.**

This is the biggest project the Global Convoy has undertaken since the Round The World journey in a £75 car which really caught the eye of the global media; our documentary for that adventure was published on Amazon, and our story was shared with hundreds of publications which led to us being invited to speak at the Royal Geographical Society along with many speaking events across Europe.
